Taller, narrower and broader, rounded variations; both narrow toward the base.
This author’s selected examples: Bonhams 168 and 147, and collection bottles 1191 and 1174. Both have broad upper bodies narrowing toward the base. Lot 168 is taller and narrower; lot 147 is broader and more rounded. Lot 147 has a flared neck with a lip.
Meiping versus spade — body depth: this author’s distinguishing feature: Meiping has a rounded, three-dimensional body, round in cross-section; the spade examples have flattened bodies. Similar front outlines do not establish the same form. Use side, angled or base photographs to assess depth; if depth is not visible, leave this distinction uncertain.
